Slimline, neat timber post stainless wire balustrade run complete kit. Lag & Swage Bottlescrew tensioners for runs over 10 metres. Requires a hydraulic swaging tool.
This slimline, neat DIY stainless wire balustrade kit is perfect for fixing 3.2mm (1x19, 7x7 or 7x19) stainless steel 316 wire rope (available from our store in 50M, 100M, 200M, 305M and 1000M reels) to timber posts.
Suitable for straight line wire rope runs more than 10 metres, between timber posts.
These fittings require hydraulic swaging. You can use a hydraulic swaging machine or a hydraulic hand swaging tool.
The wire rope is inserted in the swage end of the bottlescrew (also sometimes called a turnbuckle or rigging screw) and crimped using a hydraulic swaging tool. Do this for both ends of the run. Tension the wire rope with the bottlescrews at each end, easily done with a bottlescrew spanner.
