This popular wire balustrade system is versatile and designed for fixing 3.2mm wire rope to timber posts or metal posts. Most suited for runs under 10 metres.
For Metal Posts: With the rivet in the saddle recess, the thickness is approximately 1.1mm. So please add this amount to your post thickness when considering which rivet size. eg. For a post thickness of 2.5mm: 1.1mm + 2.5mm = 3.6mm minimum grip range (4-3 rivet or above).

1x19 wire is unsuitable for looping around thimbles. A more flexible wire, either 7x7 (most common) or 7x19 must be used.
